The Amenities Blocks are something out of a 3rd world Country. They are old, dirty, dark and dingy. There is no light switch. The lights are automatic and only come on at night. Light to the amenities is supplied by a sky light but even on bright days you have trouble seeing in the dark alcoves.

If you want to camp on an unpowered site at the Park, you will have the pleasure of a great view of the Park’s dump. Very impressive.

This Caravan Park has the potential to be very good, but unfortunately it has been run into the ground and now I doubt if a Health Officer did an inspection it would pass.

One of the toilets seats in the men’s block was badly stained with faeces and it remained uncleaned for the entire week of out stay. Shelves in the shower cubicles were littered with old razors, soaps and shampoo bottles, again for the entire week of our stay.

This Park will charge you $36.00 a night for the privilege of staying here. I for one and several of our neighbours will not be returning.

Not much to do except fishing. Bathrooms are very old and dirty. BBQ grills didn't work. No Wifi available. Next door restaurant is not a good experience. Way to expensive for the service provided. For locals who like to fish and stay at a quiet place away from tourists, its probably fine. But for an average european tourist family its much better to go to beautiful Mission Beach.

Great park and management with an excellent position right on the beach.

There are no hot water taps to the basins in the Men’s’. If you want to shave it’s either in cold water or not at all.

When it rained our site was a low point, we had heavy rain on several days that we were here and the site under our awning flooded and turned into a muddy bog. I mentioned this to the Manager, the response I got to that was “Yep, been meaning to fix that”

There is one soap dispenser in the Men’s Block. The first day we arrived there was some soap in it, but it was empty on the 2nd day and not refilled for the week.

All shower cubicles flood after a few minutes obviously because the drains to the Septic Systems are so blocked they cannot cope. The shower water simply floods into the toilet cubicles and the wash basin area. You have to be very careful walking into here as the floors are always inundated with the shower run off and slippery.

Most sites were either grass or dirt. They were a fair size and only a short distance from the beach which is the only attraction at Cowley Beach. If you are not into fishing don’t head here.
